Sebastian Alexandre represents the third generation in a cycling dynasty, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and older brother.  A nine-time Argentinean National Track Champion, Sebastian came to the US in 2000 to train for the National Championships and joined the Colavita Cycling Team in 2002 for its debut on the North American pro circuit. As captain, Sebastian led the squad to numerous victories and distinguished himself as one of the best sprinters in the US – in criteriums and on the track.

After retiring from competitive racing, Sebastian was named Directeur Sportif of the Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team, the predecessor to the Jamis/Sutter Home squad.  Under his leadership, Colavita/Sutter Home finished as the #2 team in 2008 with more NRC victories than any other squad.  The next year, Sebastian led the team to the NRC’s #1 ranking.  In 2010, Luis Amaran, one of Sebastian’s first recruits as DS, finished the season as the #1 rider in the NRC.  For 2011, Sebastian expects the combination of strategy and teamwork will continue to deliver outstanding results.
